CrispyToastYT's News

Posted by CrispyToastYT - March 18th, 2020

In an event of YouTube relying on bots yet again, I decided to upload more of my videos and put them in compilations. It is also important to save videos in your backup drives because you never know what to expect from YouTube's robotic staff. And what I mean is that because of this... you-know-what pandemic, most of the YouTube employees are forced to go home and quarantine themselves because... well, reasons. Now YouTube is using bots that take their place, but even worse when they are deleting videos that do not violate terms of guidelines. I'm not sure if this only affects much smaller content creators but this is something concerning about.

If this gets any worse, I may have to open up Patreon or Starscribe... or Ko-Fi? I don't know, let me know what you think.

I have recently changed my old username from eKarasz to a newer udername CrispyToastYP. This might also count as a re-brand and/or a merge since I've been told that having a double-life can result in things that are confusing in that sort of way. So it's better to stick with one and stick with the better name.

This may also serve as an alternative platform just in case if my YouTube account gets shut down for whatever stupid reason. Same goes with Vlare. I might be joining Storyfire if it is good enough actually.

Things are about to transition from green to a warmer color. I know where this is going, while some of you think of a same thing.

Woah! Look at that! I just reached over 100 fans! Thank you so much for checking out my stuff. You people are fantastic.

Also, expect a name change from yours truly soon. I thought about myself recently that having a double life can be confusing to say the least, but I am better off having one alias. So I decided to, say, stick with one. I'll be changing my name to Crispy Toast later on, and will help support Newgrounds since they have free creativity all around.

I think this is going to make a huge difference, am I right?

As many of you people have figured out about this unfortunate ordeal, YouTube's COPPA effect is now in fruition and it's affecting many content creators all across the site. This includes animators who make cartoons that are not geared towards for children. But as usual, YouTube has made several flaws regarding the new effect that just happened as mistook some 2D animations as "those that are geared towards children" making the channel setting pointless to use thanks to YouTube's bastardized machine learning mechanisms. So what does it mean for YouTube Animators now?

Well, hope they still use Newgrounds because this is technically the OG of animations. And because of this being the original place for content creators like myself, I feel as though I should keep using it for as long as possible. And lest we forget that YouTube is a starting point for animators!

I heard there are some alternatives to YouTube as well, but they're just too lame unfortunately. I don't think Vlare and BitChute can compete against a Tech Giant like YouTube. And I suppose people would consider using YouTube a little more if they can abide by their new policies. It is going to be a tough hurdle to handle you know.

I guess all we can do is grin and bear it. I'm not too keen about it but stuff happens. :/

Since there was something bad going on on YouTube, many people find the platform to be not user-friendly, and because of the recent fatal bug that was happening in peoples Googles accounts over emoji spams, people could not get their accounts back anymore as they were detected as bots.

And it was not just that, another disaster will come in December where their accounts are also going to be deleted if Google or YouTube do not find any of them commercial viability. So in this case, if you are not making enough money, you are done. That is the kind of fatal punishment you get for not making enough dough. I am not sure what is the minimum amount of money to earn but they would not tell at all.

So from that point on, YouTube might be completely useless for content creators because this counts as their side-jobs. And they need to earn money. I am unfortunate to say that this is a lot troubling than it is right now. So I thought about this solution if I can migrate from YouTube to Newgrounds.

You might have noticed my YouTube Channel link in my homepage. Well, let me tell you who I REALLY am.

I am Crispy Toast, and I run my own channel for 10 years as a Garry's Mod Animator. Nearly 200,000 people have subscribed to my channel for my content. The sole purpose of the channel is to provide the toastiest content I have to offer, and I am also the guy behind such great works like Luigi's Night at Freddy's, Buck N' Load, Waluigi's Taco Quest, and many others. I mainly use the game and a couple of programs to help film, edit, and produce the stuff. Now I know it may sound weird, but this is a very different form of animation. I hope Tom Fulp can give this medium a chance because this is what I want to do - upload what I got and upload it to Newgrounds.

Yes, I live a double life between a freelance artist and a YouTube content creator, but this is the point where I must combine both of them. I want to continue to keep my legacy alive as long as possible. I may be afraid that at some point YouTube will eliminate content creators from the platform, including mine, for not living up to their standards in terms of their unfair policies.

Please give me a chance to provide my own videos to the platform. I will do anything to please the audience one more time. If you do not want me to do it here because of whatever reasons you are looking for, I completely understand. It's hard for us content creators to continue to use YouTube as our side-job. What would we do without a platform?

Are you looking for somebody who can draw a character for you? Are you in need of a designer who will visualize what you describe? Well look no further. I run the commission shop and I am currently designing characters on a (somewhat) daily basis. What I have to offer may interest you, so please, take a moment to check them. If you are satisfied, feel free to let me know or tell your friend about it. My motto is "I get done quick in a day." Of course not literally, but I am pretty good at time management.

If you are interested, feel free to send me a message. We will negotiate what you like me to draw. :)

Now, to those who are following me or otherwise, I run a YouTube Channel called  Crispy Toast Productions. It's a channel that contains a lot of Garry's Mod shorts and other miscellaneous content. The channel has over 160k subscribers and over 80 million views in all videos. That is a lot to achieve in such a thing! I also made the series called The Rights and Wrongs, Pac-Pun, and other known classics!

So why did I bring it up? I was thinking about uploading my videos on Newgrounds so I can introduce people my machinimas. The old stuff will be compiled together while those that are longer stay independent from each other. So in this case, I'm about to fuse eKarasz and Crispy Toast into one for Newgrounds and to introduce new people or familiar people my content. Expanding the thing will a hit-or-miss, but we will see how this goes.

I like to know what you people think: Should I upload my YouTube stuff from Newgrounds or just stick YouTube? I like to hear your input.

Allow me to introduce myself. They call me Karasz, and I am a freelancer for hire. For years, I had shown off my work and help produce custom images for my finest clients. I also do some graphic design from time to time. It's kinda hard to find good work these days. But despite all that, I enjoy what I make and that's okay.
